Face Recognition works in XPERIA X10

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Android phone will launch with face-recognition software integrated into its photo gallery. The XPERIA X10 will be able to snap photos and quickly compare the subject’s face to other photos stored in the Mediascape gallery, then group them together when the Infinity button is pressed.

Now, there’s a video from Sony Ericsson showcasing how face recognition operates. There will definitely be bumps in the road when it comes to shading, angles, and appearance, but early signs point to this being a nifty little add-on.
